A box of ten zero-plastic coffee pods, for use in a home coffee pod machine. Made from ground El Durazno coffee, the used capsules can be disposed of with your household food waste.

We used El Durazno Espresso for the coffee pods, a beautifully balanced white honey process coffee, from the Jalapa region of Guatemala.

This exceptional coffee has been produced by the Ventura family who have been growing coffee for 120 years. This harvest is from one or their newest plots, Finca El Durazno, which was planted up in 2013. The Ventura family have been farming coffee in the Jalapa region for over five generations, starting back in 1894. Although climate change is having an impact on their crops, they continue to grow their family business, producing high quality coffee.

We worked with Coffee Bird, a family-owned female lead importer that specialises in ethically sourced Guatemalan coffee. They are proudly transparent on their impact in the speciality coffee market, paying farmers 37% higher than the industry average in Guatemala.

Refer to your coffee pod machine manufacturer’s guide for brewing instructions, and store in a cool dry place. The Coffee by Tate pods are compatible with most capsule coffee makers, including Nespresso machines.

After use, you can put your used coffee pods into your food waste disposal or on your compost heap. The empty box can be recycled with your household cardboard recycling. Please do check with your local authority regarding their compost and recycling policy.
